We believe that learning should be fun, and that after a hard few hours of lessons, you will probably need to relax. So what better way to relax, practice speaking English and experience everything that Brighton has to offer than Avalon’s activity programme.

Our students, along with our staff are able to enjoy a wide variety of activities ranging from various sports to going to pubs (over 18’s only) and restaurants including the following:

Afternoon Activities

Beach Volleyball

Cultural Trips

Evening Activities

London Day Trips

As if that is not enough, we also offer our students the opportunity to experience London’s West End with Theatre trips, or experience English Football at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium as well as Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge Stadium.

If culture is your thing then why not visit Stonehenge and the beautiful historic city of Bath? If would prefer somewhere “closer to home” then Arundel Castle, Hastings Castle, and the historic towns of Lewes and Rottingdean are for you.

Alternatively, if beautiful landscapes and scenery, Brighton is surrounded by the Southdowns (England’s newest national park) and all the most beautiful and spectacular landscapes are a bus journey away including Devils Dyke, Cuckmere Haven, Seven Sisters, Beachy head and Birling Gap.

For the more adventurous, we can also organise windsurfing, stand up paddling (SUP), or mountain biking through Friston Forest where getting lost is an adventure guaranteeing you will see more of the Sussex countryside that most of the people who live there. And if you like we can arrange for you to do a bungee catapult, just like a jump but you start on the ground and are flung into the air!

But that’s not all, we also like it when you and your classmates are all together enjoying a meal in a restaurant, having breakfast together in Brighton City centre, or competing against each other in a round of ten-pin bowling.
